Minutes, and the daily goal
The app times your practice while you play, adds it up for each day and checks it against the daily goal you set.
Counted while you play
There is no timer to start or stop. Time counts while you are practicing and stops when you walk away, so a tab left open does not add minutes to your day.
When you are signed in, the total covers your whole account: time on the tablet by the piano and on the laptop at work adds up to one day’s practice.
Your daily goal
Choose a number of minutes a day that you can really keep up; fifteen minutes that happen are worth more than sixty that stay a plan. The streak badge turns from green to orange once you reach the goal, so you can see at a glance that you are done for the day.
You also earn coins: one for practicing and another for reaching the goal.
A month at a glance
A single day says little, but a month shows whether practice has become a habit. The charts cover the last thirty days and the last thirty weeks, so you can tell two weeks of five-minute sessions from two weeks with no practice, or from a week when you managed an hour a day.
Below the charts are the total, the daily average and your best day, and a list of every session with what you played in it.
If a teacher or parent follows your practice, they see this too: their student list shows each student’s minutes for the week. See Planning a lesson.
