The pet shop

Practice days buy cats, cats trade up to bears, bears to tigers, and so on up to a unicorn. Built with children in mind.

Something to save up for

A pet means more to a child than a streak counter. The shop turns coins into pets, and pets into bigger pets, so a week of practice becomes something a child can see and point at.

The shop grid: coins, cats, a bear, a tiger, a dragon and a unicorn, each with a price.
From a cat for seven coins to a unicorn at the top.

The ladder

  • A cat costs 7 coins, about a week of practice.
  • 5 cats make a bear.
  • 3 bears make a tiger.
  • 2 tigers make a dragon.
  • 2 dragons make a unicorn.

Each step is a goal in itself, and the unicorn takes a long time to save up for.

Fair rules

Selling a pet refunds its full price, so changing your mind costs nothing. Pets also keep their value: a missed day takes a coin from the balance, never a pet.

For the youngest players, combine the shop with Baby mode, which has big buttons and cat rewards.
