Badges

Every exercise you complete at 99% accuracy or better becomes a badge, and the badges page collects them all.

How to earn a badge

You earn a badge by completing an exercise: collecting every heart in one go, at 99% accuracy or better. Minor triads in root position, dominant sevenths from the black keys and C minor played triad by triad each have their own badge, because each is a separate skill.

If you complete the exercise again later, the badge records how many times you have done it and when you last did.

Sorting and going back

Sort by newest to see this month’s progress, or by type to see which chord families you have covered and which are still empty. Every badge links back to its exercise, so you can return to something you learned and check you can still play it.

The Levels grid uses the same completions, so earning a badge also fills in a cell there.

A star on every card

Badges also show outside the badges page. Wherever an exercise appears as a card — on the dashboard, among your recent exercises, in Preferences next to what you are playing — a completed one has an orange frame and a star in the corner. An exercise you have not completed shows your latest score instead, so you can see at a glance what is done and what is nearly there.

Your newest badges appear on the dashboard too, with a link to all of them. The first time you complete an exercise, you also earn a coin.

The badges strip on the dashboard: four exercise cards with orange frames and stars, and a link to all seven badges.

The star means the exercise was completed with every heart and at least 99% accuracy.
