Fairy tale look for kids
The fairy tale look turns practice into a game for young children. A butterfly carries a note, and the child plays it.
What it is
- Butterflies. Each butterfly carries a note, an interval or a chord. The child plays it on a MIDI keyboard or on the on-screen keyboard (touch works) and the butterfly is caught.
- Meadow Jumper. The Jumper game, played in a meadow.
- Level boards. At the end of a level, a fairy board shows the result and the coin earned. One big button, Keep playing, goes on: to the next level at 99% or more, otherwise to the same level again. A small Settings link and a few suggestions sit below it.
Turn it on
- Open Preferences, section Theme.
- Switch on Fairy tale look.
Baby mode turns it on too. To try it without changing anything, open a short link:
- /butterfly — butterflies with single notes on the white keys.
- /jumper — Jumper in the meadow.
In the address, ?kn=1 to ?kn=4 sets how many butterflies fly at
once, for example /butterfly?kn=4. It wins over the setting.
Settings
All of them are next to the switch, in Preferences → Theme.
- Number of characters — 1 to 4 butterflies at once. The default is 2. A phone shows at most 3.
- Vanishing animals — plays in time. With the metronome on, a butterfly that stays a whole bar flies away and costs one heart. Off by default.
- Hearts follow the same rules as the rest of the app. They appear with Game mode (hearts + game-over). With Consecutive mistakes allowed on, missing the same chord again never costs a second heart.
What it covers
Single notes, intervals and chords. Scales, progressions, songs and melodies keep the normal page, because their order matters.
Exit leaves the look for the rest of the visit. The setting stays on.
